From the 4 - 30 May, causes in your community will be able to apply for funding from the Local Community Fund. Local groups can find out more and apply at coop.co.uk/causes.

The Local Community Fund supports projects across the UK that our members care about and help us deliver our vision ‘Co-operating for a fairer world’. Since 2016 over 21,000 projects have shared a staggering £70m.

What projects will the fund support?

In line with our vision to make life fairer for our communities, our community plan focuses on fairer access to food, mental wellbeing and opportunities for young people. The Local Community Fund will support community projects that:

  • enable people to access food and co-operate together to feed everyone
  • help improve people’s mental wellbeing
  • offer young people opportunities to develop new skills and make a difference in their community

Help spread the word

Supporting local causes beyond funding

This year, when a group applies for the Local Community Fund, we’ll also connect them to Co-operate our online community centre, where they can come together and benefit from help and support from like-minded people and causes. This is an exciting development which shows the power of co-operation beyond funding.
