Christmas Taste & Tell ‘Bake off’ – Terms and Conditions
PROMOTER: This competition is operated by Co-operative Group Food Limited, a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014. Registered No 26715R, with registered office at 1 Angel Square, Manchester, M60 0AG. References to “we”, “us” or “our” in these terms and conditions are references to the promoter.
OPENING AND CLOSING DATE: This competition opens on 07:00 AM 20 December 2020 and closes on 00:01 AM 27 December 2020. Any entries made before the opening date or after the closing date will not be valid and will not be entered into this promotion.
ELIGIBILITY: This competition is only open to all employees of the Promoter at the time of this competition and who have a Twitter, Facebook and Yammer account. Anyone who is not an employee between the opening and closing date is excluded from entering this promotion. If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain written parental or guardian consent to enter and (if you win) claim your prize. We may ask the winner[s] to provide proof of age.
HOW TO ENTER: To enter, upload an image of your decorate biscuit made on one of the following social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook and Yammer) and include #tasteandtell, #itswhatwedo in the post between the opening date and closing date. Maximum of one entry per person.]. No purchase is necessary to enter. Maximum of one entry per person.
PRIZES: There are 12 prizes to be won during the Promotion. Maximum one prize per entrant. A breakdown of prizes is the following:
- 12 prizes of a Co-op Hamper with a maximum of 10 selected Co-op products and feeding up to five (5) people; and
- 12 donations to a Co-op community fund of the value of £100.
The prizes are not exchangeable, not transferrable and no cash alternative can be requested. The prizes are provided at our discretion and we may substitute or change the prizes for a prize of an equivalent or greater value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so.
WINNER SELECTION: The winners will be the entrants whose photo is judged to be a) artistic interpretation of the theme ‘Christmas biscuit decoration?’ b) originality, creativity and unique style of voice. Photos will be judged by Jo Whitfield or her representative Verity Warnecke and an independent judge. Details of the independent judge can be obtained by sending an email to Events@coop.co.uk within thirty of days after the closing date of the competition All participants uploads/ submission with the correct hashtag will be collated on the 27th December 2020. The Judging of the Promotion will take place within thirty days after the closing date of the competition.
NOTIFICATION: We will contact winner’s via private message on Twitter, Yammer and Facebook by on or before the 10th January 2021. If the winners does not respond to us within seven (7) days of being notified by us, then the winner's prize will be forfeited, and the judge will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above. We and the winners will make arrangements for collection and/or delivery of their prize
DECISIONS OF THE PROMOTER AND JUDGE: If there is any dispute about the receipt of validity of any entry or any other aspect of the competition, this will be decided by us. The decision of the judge in relation to the winners is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it. Our decision regarding any other aspect of the competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
WINNER LIST: Winners Surnames and respective county of residence can be obtained by sending an email to Events@coop.co.uk within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the competition.
AGREEMENT TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Entry to this competition shall constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions and your agreement to be bound by them. These terms and conditions take effect immediately upon entry to the competition.
DISQUALIFICATION: We reserve the right to reject any photo, withhold the prizes and disqualify you from the competition if we suspect you of failing to comply with these terms and conditions or of fraud, cheating or dishonesty.
QUALITY AND OWNERSHIP OF PHOTOS: Photos must not be, or contain anything that is illegal, offensive, abusive, defamatory or explicit. By entering this competition, you confirm that the photo is your own, original, photograph and you confirm that your submission of the photo (and our use of the photo for the purposes described in clause 16) does not and will not infringe any third party’s intellectual property rights. We do not claim any rights of ownership in your photo, but we may use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format your photo for the purposes described in clause 16.
NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ENTRIES NOT RECEIVED: We accept no responsibility for photos not successfully received by us, or which are delayed, due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: Insofar as is permitted by law, we, our agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate you or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize (if you win) except where it is caused by our negligence or the negligence of our agents or distributors or that of our or their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ADMINISTER COMPETITION: We, and other members of the Co-operative Group, may collect personal information from you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and other applicable data privacy laws. Except as set out in clause 16 below, we and other members of the Co-operative Group will only use your information for the purposes of administering this competition.
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION AND PHOTOS FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES: By entering this competition you agree that, if you win, we and other members of the Co-operative Group may use your photo and your name for promotional purposes (including on our websites, social media, within our magazines or within our promotional emails).
COMPLIANCE WITH SOCIAL NETWORK POLICIES: This competition is in no way endorsed by, or associated with, Twitter, Facebook and Yammer networks. However, as well as complying with these terms and conditions, you are also responsible for ensuring you comply at all times with the terms, conditions, rules and policies of Twitter, Facebook and Yammer networks when using their services.
CANCELLATION OR WITHDRAWAL OF COMPETITION: We reserve the right at our absolute discretion to withdraw or cancel this competition without prior notice and without liability to any party if it becomes necessary to do so.
